The CDs offered on this page feature archive recordings made by the late Ron Collen-Jones (published and restored by Ian Strange).
These are all mono recordings that the publisher has processed to create a pseudo-stereo effect.
The original recordings by Mr. Collen-Jones span the years 1965 to 1972 on reel-to-reel and 1972 to 1990 on cassette. About 400 hours in total! I hope to publish more CDs from this collection in due course. Unfortunately, the quality of the pre-1969 recordings is rather poor, but I will try and salvage some highlights if I can. Some of these unpublished highlights are very rare, including a Baby Deltic.
Ron worked for British Railways in some of the London control centres, and thus he was very well informed and able to record rare locos and workings.

** On-train behind a class 40 departing Glasgow Queen Street.
** Riding on a Hastings DEMU with a horn-happy driver.
** Lots of action (mostly 31s, Peaks, 47s and DMUs) at Holloway and Wood Green.
** Deltic ("Ballymoss") storms up Holloway bank.
